New and experienced employees and managers who specialize in pesticide product registration, including technical label reviews and submission of 24(c) or Section 18 registrations. Preference will be given to nominees who have been in their position for 5 years or less.
Enhance understanding of the federal pesticide registration and re-evaluation process, including the definition and use of special registrations. In addition, discuss the roles, responsibilities and challenges of state and territory registration programs. The course will promote regulatory networks to better address common challenges.
The five major topic areas that will be covered in this course include:
- Federal pesticide registration process and requirements
- What needs to be registered as a pesticide
- Pesticide label requirements and re-evaluation
- Special registrations and uses
- Adding uses to existing pesticide registrations
Nomination and Participants
Nominations must be submitted electronically. It is best to prepare your justification for selection before starting your nomination application. To complete the nomination process, please refer to the nomination announcement.
Nominations for the Registration & Re-Evaluation course open January 13, 2020 and close February 10, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time). The PREP Team will make selections no later than March 9, 2020 based on how closely the nominees conform to the target participant criteria and why the training is essential to their job responsibilities.
